Female choir Carmen manet

Artist

Carmen manet is a female chamber choir founded in 2011, consisting of former members of the Gimnazija Kranj Girls Choir. The name, meaning “the song remains” in Latin, reflects the bond between the singers beyond their high school years. The choir has undertaken unique projects, including The Song of the Northern Winds, Voice Dance, On the Steps of Carmen manet, and I See You, blending diverse music styles from Scandinavian tales to pop, classical, and folk music, accompanied by stage choreography and costumes. Conducted by Primož Kerštanj, Carmen manet has achieved international recognition, winning the Grand Prix at the 50th Montreux International Choral Competition in 2014 and being named Eurovision Choir of the Year 2017.
