Djane Gaby

Artist

DJane Gaby started out on her musical career in 1992. She first began practising on the turntables alongside Uroš Umek as a teenager. Focusing on trance music, DJane popularised the genre by presenting Radio Študent’s Psytrance show and through her own World of Trance organisation that promoted trance parties throughout Slovenia. Keen to realize her high aspirations, DJane Gaby advanced her career abroad. Her appearances include major international festivals, including Boom, Ozora, Glade, Fusion, Sonica, Vuuv, Rainbow Serpent and many others in Australia, Asia, South Africa, North and Central America, and across Europe. In addition to pursuing a career in music, DJane Gaby organises sound healing workshops.

Dojaja

Artist

DJ Dojaja made his debut in 1995 as a resident DJ of the club Palma. Soon after his debut, DJ Umek invited him to collaborate together with DJ Bizzy. They first formed as Absense team and later renamed as Consumer Recreation. They performed in the renowned club K4 and the club Propaganda. He also performed with the live act group Rotor, Temponauta and Ago Tela and was one of the main founders of the “Chilli space” events, dedicated to the ambient music. Currently he is a member of the trio Niplodok.

Domen Križaj

Artist

Slovenian baritone Domen Križaj graduated in music and medicine from the University of Ljubljana, and was selected for the Salzburg Festival’s Young Singers Project. He was member of Theater Basel’s OperAvenir Plus studio in the 2017/2018 and 2018/2019 seasons. As a concert vocalist Domen Križaj regularly performs with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and Camerata Salzburg. He has won many competitions and has been member of Theater Basel’s opera ensemble since the 2019/2020 season.

Domen Marinčič

Artist

An early music specialist with considerable professional experience, Domen Marinčič regularly performs with Slovenian and international ensembles. He is co-founder of the musica cubicularis early music ensemble and the Harmonia Antiqua Labacensis Institute, artistic director of the Radovljica Festival, and curator of the Harmonia Concertans concert series. Doman Marinčič also devotes his time to giving lectures and teaching.

Dominik Jakšič

Dominik Jakšič is active in different fields: creative – as composer, music publicist, pedagogue and organizer; and performing – as conductor and pianist. He is conductor of Academic Choir Celje. Dominik served three years as an artistic director of festival Music afternoon with Anton Lajovic. Dominik’s compositions have been performed on many stages in Slovenia and across Europe. Opus includes many works, from lieders, chamber music, piano compositions, concertos, to choral and orchestral works, two cantatas and scenic music.

Dominik Steklasa

Young Slovenian conductor Dominik Steklasa (1989) studied Orchestral conducting and Composition at the Ljubljana Academy of Music. After he finished studying at the academy he went on to study the conducting technique of the legendary Russian conducting teacher Ilya Musin with the world-renowned conducting teacher Maestro Ennio Nicotra. Despite his young age, Dominik has conducted many successful concerts abroad. His artistic and working mind set is: ‘’Conductor is a director of sound. And his stage is the Orchestra.’’

Domžale - Kamnik Symphony Orchestra

The Domžale – Kamnik Symphony Orchestra was established in 1971. It comprises amateur musicians, students and teachers of regional music schools, as well as professional musicians. The orchestra, whose repertoire predominantly includes classical music and occasionally film, popular and sacred music, performs several annual concerts. Each season is crowned with the orchestra’s traditional New Year’s Concert modelled after the world-famous concerts of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.

Domžale Horn Ensemble

KD Domžalski rogisti was founded in 1991. They first performed with the B horns, and since 2006 with the Es horns, which enable them to perform more demanding compositions by both foreign and, more recently, domestic authors. They participate in various hunting cultural events and gatherings around the country, and also participate in the annual international competition of Hunting Buglers in Austria, from which they usually return with the "Golden Horn" as the highest recognition. As representatives of Slovenia, they also participated in the 2nd European Competition of Hunting Buglers in Levoča, Slovakia and returned with an encouraging fourth place in the face of fierce international competition. Domžalski rogisti give special emphasis to the provision of hunting music to the youngest in kindergartens, as well as to the elderly in nursing homes. The group is combined of up to eight active members, all of whom have brand new Es horns from 2019.

Doša

Artist

Doša is a master at rhyming,who has been rapping since the late 1990’s. He has collaborated with many recognized names on the domestic rap scene, including Nikolovski and Klemen Klemen. In 2007, he established his own publishing company Datura.

Douchean

Artist

Slovenian DJ / producer Douchean is an ambassador of dirty distorted synths and pounding kicks. He moulds them into unknown soundscapes that lead you through his sonic tales. As an avid explorer of the whole spectrum of dark techno, he does not shy away from experimentation. Last September, he released his debut “A Luberjack’s Smile” on KRDM Records.
