In 2004, Šulić was the recipient of the 5th Tchaikovsky Young Musicians Competition Award, in 1999 and 2003 he received two first prizes at the Alpe-Adria Competition in Gorizia, and won the 2000 and 2003 national competition in Ljubljana. He often performs at home and abroad and is best known for being part of the popular duo 2Cellos (2011-2019).

Robert Pešut, better known as Magnifico, started out on his music career in 1989 as member of the U’redu band. He embarked on his solo career in 1993 and wrote a number of golden hits that have enjoyed enduring popularity among Slovenian audiences. Magnifico wrote Lahko ti podarim samo ljubezen, the winning song of EMA 2002, Slovenia’s national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, which was performed by a band of drag queens, Sestre. He achieved international breakthrough in 2004 with the song Hir aj kam hir aj go, which was licensed by Sony Records. The popularity of Magnifico’s Pukni zoro, written for the film Montevideo, God Bless You!, soared to epic proportions in Serbia.
