Martin Martian, also known as Martin Vogrič Dežman, is a Martian who took up temporary residence on Earth. Reflecting his life on our planet, his lyrics also touch upon – with complete sincerity but also playfulness – the issues of memory and haphazardness. Despite the prevailing pop rhythms, Martin does not restrict his music universe to a specific genre. In some of his compositions, many of which show traces of funk and electronica, the ukulele takes centre stage.
