Tadej Vesenjak

A native of Slovenian Prlekija region, singer-songwriter Vesenjak writes and sings in his local dialect. He has repeatedly won awards at the KantFest International singer-songwriter festival and contest.

Tadeja Vulc

Artist

Driven by a deep desire for creating, composer Tadeja Vulc studied composition at the Academy of Music in Ljubljana under Assoc. Prof. Uroš Rojko and furthered her studies in composition at the University of Music in Vienna with composer Michael Jarrell. Since 1995, Tadeja Vulc has been devoting her time to choral conducting. She has conducted many different choirs and ensembles in various projects throughout the country and abroad, and received numerous awards in recognition of choral performance and repertoire selection.

Tadiman

Artist

Tadiman (Tadej Tratnik) is a pioneering Slovenian reggae singer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist with over 25 years of activity. He rose to prominence as the frontman of Siti hlapci, hosted the reggae radio show Jah-meka-man, and later performed with Italy’s Makako Jump and Ufoslavians. In 2021, he released his solo debut Soljahs of Love. Tadiman has played major European festivals and collaborated with renowned international reggae artists.

Tanja Vogrin

Mezzosoprano and harpist Tanja Vogrin’s main focus of interest is the exploration of early vocal techniques and historically informed performance. Noted for accompanying herself on the harp, Tanja Vogrin is a founding member of the Concerto di Margherita, an ensemble whose focus lies in reviving self-accompaniment. She gives regular concerts throughout Europe as a soloist or with different ensembles and inspires young musicians at home and abroad as a knowledgeable teacher.

Tartini String Quartet

Initially as the String quartet of the Slovenian Philharmonic in 1983, the Tartini String Quartet has managed to create a convincing and fresh approach to performance and bold programming. It complements its “standard” concert programme with the creative opus of lesser-known composers and performs string quartets by local composers of chamber music.

Teo Collori in Momento Cigano

The group Teo Collori and Momento Cigano plays a mix of Romani and swing music. It is a project that weaves together new and fresh stories with nostalgia. The musicians offer authored music in a style that brings to life a time of salon music, cigars, Charleston and lacquer shoes.

Terranigma

Terranigma is the alias of DJ / producer Črt Trkman, also known as Freeverse, who has been active on the local scene for the past 10 years. Terranigma is a throwback to his youth and a nod to the influences, which set him on his musical path. This is manifested through intricately arranged jungle breaks floating somewhere between UK aesthetics and the classic electro sounds of the early noughties. He has released music on the compilation “Gibanica Vol. 2” and EP “Booster Pack”, out on Kamizdat.

The Balkan Experience of Song and Ritual

The Balkan Experience of Song and Ritual presents original arrangements of folk musical heritage of the geographical area between Slovenia and Turkey. By including improvisational and narrative elements, the musicians are lending folk music a dimension of directness and so rendering it even more accessible to the contemporary audience. They have been active in Ljubljana since 2018. They performed at numerous Slovenian and Austrian venues of various sizes including the first International Folklore Festival in Ljubljana.

The Canyon Observer

Ljubljana-based five-piece heavy-metal music band The Canyon Observer was formed in 2011. Their music is a mixture of sludge metal, post-metal and noise spiced with elements of atmospheric black metal.
