Maj Kavšek is a Slovenian trumpeter, composer and bandleader, emerging as a distinctive voice on the European jazz scene. His music combines compositional clarity, openness and collective interplay. His debut album Galaterna (2024) received critical acclaim. In 2025 he received the Yehudi Menuhin: Live Music Now scholarship and a Jazz Incubator residency at Festival Jazz Cerkno, where he recorded MINOR FLAW (2026), exploring a chordless quartet format.

Maja Cilenšek includes new compositions by Slovenian composers in her repertoires and so stimulates the creation of new works for youth choirs. As lecturer and expert panellist she is regularly invited to attend various seminars and singing events. At the 2007 “Mariele Ventre” competition in Bologna she shared first place with Italian conductor Lorenzo Donati.

Maja Horvat is a celebrated Slovenian violinist and chamber musician. Winner of the Royal Philharmonic Society’s Emily Anderson Prize (2019), she trained at Ljubljana Conservatory and the Royal College of Music in London. She co-founded the Brompton Quartet, made her Wigmore Hall debut, and in 2024 joined the award-winning Astatine Piano Trio. A versatile soloist and ensemble performer, she regularly collaborates across Europe and beyond.

Maja Keuc is a Slovene singer who came to fame when she finished as the runner up in the first season of the national syndication of the Got Talent franchise. To date, she has released two studio albums and several singles. She was selected to represent her home country in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Düsseldorf with the song "No One", which successfully qualified from the second semi-final, finishing in 13th place with 96 points.

She has gained renown for her work in different music genres, including early music, contemporary, experimental, jazz, free improvisation, sound art and heavier music. She composes music for dance, theatre, film, radio, sound installations and diverse music projects and ensembles. She lives and works in Vienna, Austria.

Maja Založnik is a Slovenian vocalist, who has since 2015 performed with the group Moonshine from Novi Sad. Their repertoire includes pop, soul, rock and funk.

Majmunska Posla is a Slovenian band from Ljubljana, known for their unique fusion of genres, including ethno, post-pop, punk, and EDM. Their music blends elements of rock, progressive rock, and folk rock, creating a captivating and diverse sound. Some of their popular songs include Ugrizni mi čeljust, Jesen, and Jebena romantika.

In 1997, Mak Grgić enrolled in the Music School of Franc Šturm in Ljubljana. He studied in Zagreb, then at the University of Music and Visual Arts in Vienna. He continued his graduate studies at the USC Thornton School of Music, and received his doctorate at the University of Los Angeles under the supervision of Scott Tennant. After studying there, he became the first Slovenian guitarist with a doctoral degree. At the same institution, he got the position of assistant lecturer. Mak collaborates with many famous musicians and bands, performs at many renowned venues around the world. He receives rave reviews for his performances. He is also the artistic director of several guitar festivals and other musical and humanitarian projects. In November 2021, he was nominated for an American music Grammy Award. He attracted the jury's attention with a project dedicated to the baroque composer Johann Sebastian Bach.

Mezzosoprano Manca Izmajlova performs operatic and popular music. She studied musical theatre and acting in London, and operatic singing in Moscow. She first gained international acclaim with her album Slovanska duša [Slavic Soul], which consists of new arrangements of compositions from Slavic countries ranging from classical to folk and popular songs. She recorded the album with the Russian State Cinema Symphony. The singer’s repertoire comprises at least 350 songs of various genres in 24 different languages.
