The 41st edition takes place from 13 to 16 January 2027 in Groningen, the Netherlands. This time the spotlight falls on Ireland: in close cooperation with Ireland's leading music organisation First Music Contact and radio station RTÉ 2FM as media partner, ESNS will curate a programme celebrating Irish music success. It is only the second time in the festival's history that a country has been given that designation twice.

Each year ESNS attracts over 4,000 delegates, including representatives of more than 400 international festivals. Alumni include Hozier, Fontaines D.C., Stromae, AURORA, Sigrid, Zaho de Sagazan, Viagra Boys.

At the 40th edition this January, Slovenia was represented by Etceteral and Nejc Pipp & Co.
