Every October, more than 2,600 professionals (including over 260 performing artists) from 90 countries come together at WOMEX, making it the leading networking platform for the global music industry. Its musical spectrum is unparalleled, spanning everything from traditional sounds to contemporary global underground, embracing folk, roots, jazz, local and diaspora cultures, as well as urban and electronic music from around the world.

The event features 7 stages, around 700 exhibitors, 100+ speakers, film screenings, an opening concert, and an award ceremony — all packed into five vibrant networking days (and short nights).

WOMEX and its community aim to support and strengthen the role of culture worldwide, spreading its values through nurturing and promoting creativity and music. The global music community can thus contribute to cross-cultural understanding in a welcoming, tolerant, diverse, and productive way.
