Festival
The three-day Neposlušno Festival (Sound Disobedience), taking place each March at the Španski borci Culture Centre, is organised by the Sploh Institute. The festival seeks to create conditions for practising musical improvisation and developing one’s potential for improvisation. Sound Disobedience provides a platform for exchange, a space where diverse borderline music practices interact with one another at concerts, workshops, lectures and through other forms of communicating musical ideas.

St. Nicholas Choir Litija has been contributing to the Slovenian and world choral scene for more than 20 years. It's projects are often very different from the classic choral repertoires. It combines traditional choral compostions with novelties of Slovene and world renown composers. The choir formally works within the 'Nova kultura Litija' society ('New culture Litija') and is a member of the Europa Cantat. The singers with their conductress are regularly rewarded with awards on national and international competitions and festivals.

Its exceptional accomplishments at national and international competitions and regular participations at the world’s foremost choir-related events earned St Stanislav Girls’ Choir a place at the cutting edge of the youth choir scene. In recent years, they were the first and thus far only Slovenian choir to perform at the 11th World Symposium on Choral Mu-sic in Barcelona, at the European Choral Association – Europa Cantat’s festival in Tallin, and at the national conference of American choral directors in Kansas City, which they attended at the direct invitation of the American Choral Directors Association.
