Residency Details

• Duration: 1 week to 1 month

• Period: October 1, 2025 – September 30, 2026

• Location: Cankarjeva Residency Centre, central Ljubljana

• Support Provided: Free accommodation and access to JSKD workspaces (by reservation)

• Financial Support: No stipend or travel reimbursement included

Eligibility

Artists working in the following disciplines are encouraged to apply:

• Visual Arts

• Theatre

• Literature

• Film and Multimedia

• Cultural Heritage and Folklore

• Vocal and Instrumental Music

• Dance

• Interdisciplinary Arts

Applicants should demonstrate an interest in collaborating with local artists or organizations and present a clear plan of activities for their residency.

Facilities

Residents will have access to:

• Two furnished residential units

• A multi-purpose lecture theatre for rehearsals, gatherings, and exhibitions

• Skladovnica Hall (seating up to 50) for film screenings, performances, and meetings

• An art workshop

Application Process

• Application Period: May 20 – June 20, 2025

• How to Apply: Complete the online application form in English. 

• Group Applications: One member submits the application; others provide their CVs.

• Notification: Applicants will be informed of the results within 30 days after the application deadline.

Expectations for Residents

• Public presentation of their work during the residency

• Collaboration with local artists or JSKD advisors

• Submission of a final report in English

• Compliance with JSKD’s house rules
