The Society of Slovene Composers (DSS) is a voluntary professional association of composers and musicologists. the Society started out by organising public performances, but in 1954 widened its field of activity by including a publishing section (Edicije DSS) and establishing contacts with other European publishing houses.

Sol May is a synonym for the 19-year-old solo musician who combines her own written poetry with music. Her songs are in their most raw form when they're combined with singing and piano. It is very often that her songs explain an everyday situations that happened to her and how she perceived the situation. She is currently recording her first solo album, which will be released at the end of spring. Besides composing and songwriting, she is also a compassionate book lover, ballet dancer, matcha lover and a film fanatic.

Sound Disobedience Festival

The three-day Neposlušno Festival (Sound Disobedience), taking place each March at the Španski borci Culture Centre, is organised by the Sploh Institute. The festival seeks to create conditions for practising musical improvisation and developing one’s potential for improvisation. Sound Disobedience provides a platform for exchange, a space where diverse borderline music practices interact with one another at concerts, workshops, lectures and through other forms of communicating musical ideas.

Spiral Mind is the ever-changing solo project of musician Manuel Brajnik. The sound palette, of what are generally instrumentals, ranges from the abstract sounds of analog and digital synthesizers to the concrete tones of drums, bass and guitars.

The SPUTNIK Café acts as an excellent host to a vast variety of events. Delivered with care, its customized catering service is efficient and responsive to clients’ needs. The venue also features a space separate from the lower premises, a pleasant and well-equipped living room that doubles as a multipurpose hall. It hosts different-sized events to suit all tastes. It can create both an intimate atmosphere and provide room for up to 400 people. Location: Ljubljana
